practice 12 evaluation

In this practice i think same with the previous one that i have a difficulty in playing the contrary parts, i have to practice more and more to make it so clear. And also i have to practice more to make my right and left hands balanced when playing the scale.

Practice 11 evaluation

This is my first practice at home about the scale that will assess in the examination day, for the piano we have to play A minor and E minor scale with 2 hands and also there is a contrary and together playing. In this practice i have some difficulties during the contrary parts, because it was a bit confusing and also i still confuse where to start the contrary parts. So, i think i have to practice more if i want a good result in the examination or practical exam.

Today i was absent, so i didn't enter the music class. But, i ask my friends and they said that today they learned about the notation and in the instrument class they practiced for the exam especially for piano is scale, which is A minor scale and E minor scale

Today Mr.Herry taught us about treble clef, bass clef and after that Mr.Herry gave us an exercise about transposing the note from treble clef into bass clef. I think when i am doing this task i have no difficulties because i have learned about it before but sometimes i still confuse a little bit. After all the student done the task, Mr.Herry showed us the commercial jingle that have done by the other class and it was so awesome.

this is my last practice at school before the performance, in this practice Mr.John made some changes/ variations especially for the piano because the piano sounds monotone, thats why in this practice i have so many mistakes and i have to practice at home because the performance day is coming

practice 9 evaluation

in this practice i have to be more concern because tomorrow is the performance day, i think i am prepared enough for the performance tomorrow i have a very few mistakes in this practice. But i am afraid if i'm nervous tomorrow all my hard works will useless, so i have to manage my self and try to be not nervous and be more confident. With all my practices i should be feel confident when i perform, because there is nothing to worry about.

Today we have a jazz performance assessment, I think I have done the assessment quite good but still I have to improve my confidence during the performance because when I am nervous it will ruin everything which is in this performance I played the ending wrong that caused my group confused and the guitar followed me wrong and it was quite dissapointing but after all, I am satisfied with my teamworks.

Today I submitted my exercise jingle, and after that we made an eight bars of jingle in the music book for practice. Then Mr.Herry checked our blog again like previous session and I have completed all the task so I didn't get a reminder, after that we have a rehearsal again about the jazz performance with our supervisor and group

In this practice I think I still feel awkward to play the chord, I have so many mistakes in playing the chord, and the performance is next week I am so panic about it, so I scheduled the after school practice with Mr.John because we have no enough time if we just use the practice time during the music session.

In this practice Mr.Herry told me to change the arrangement of the chord, I have to play the chord with two hands, then with a different rhythm, so I tried to practice what he have told me then it is hard because I'm not used to it, I have to practice at home more, because the arrangement is totally different so I think I have to practice llike the beginning

Today Mr.Herry checked the finale task, I have done the task and also I brought the hard copy, but I forgot to bring the soft copy. And Mr.Herry accepted my hard copy so he didn't give me one reminder for homework, after checking the homework like the previous meeting we will have a rehearsal with our group about the jazz performance, the due date for the performance was 7th May which is next friday.

Today we have a homework/task review about blog which is the reflection and video, loke what happened last friday some of my friend done the blog in the library and also using their phone. Some my friend also got a punishment whis was singing in front of the class. After that, we have an instrument session we could ask to our instrument teacher about the group performance, then after 15 minutes we are divided into the usual group to rehearsal again

Today Mr.Herry checked our blog and video task, if we haven't done the task, he told us to complete our blog in the library downstairs, some of my friend completed it in the library, and only a few of student have done the task.

practice 6 evaluation

In my sixth practice I think I kind of used to the chord, so I have minimize my mistakes when playing the chord, in this practice I think I should concern more about the guitar, because we are not playing it together at the same time, the melody is not fit in, I think I am too fast so the guitar couldn't catch up, then next time if i have a rehearsal again i will try to play it better with no mistakes and also match with the guitar playing

Today we were having a commercial introduction which is our assessment tasks for music and business. Mr. Herry showed us the example of the commercial to give us some ideas of how would we make or do the tasks. After that Mr. Herry taught us how to make a melody with at least 4 instrument for the jingle (musical advertising) using finale, we have to make 16 bars of the melody. I think i have to prepare or at least try the finale as soon as possible, so i can make a suitable jingle for my product and get a good marks in the assessment tasks for business and music. After we discussed about the assessment, we were having a rehearsal of the instrument group, in the rehearsal i think i didn't do it so well because my melody is too high for the singers so Mr.John will change the chord from Am to Em

practice 5 evaluation

In my fifth practice i record my practice session in the class, because i thought it was more interesting to practice with the other friends including Mr.John rather than i practice alone. And when we're practicing together it sounded more fun, in this practice i think i still have some mistakes when playing the chord, since Mr.John just changed the chord from Am to Em so i'm not really used to it. I think i should have more practice at home, so i will not have some mistakes again when playing the chord.

practice 4 evaluation

in this practice i think there is no significant improvement from the practice 3, because as the practice 3 i just practiced about the chord and also the intro, but because i am boring to play the chord with one hand and the right hand not playing anything, i try to play the chord with two hands, then i know it will be better to play it in one hand because with two hands it was more complicated.

Today we have a theory quiz. The quiz was about history of jazz in general and based on my genre, and also the notation. i think i have done the quiz pretty well, but i still have some difficulties in the history of jazz especially in general, because i almost forgot about it, so i have to learn more about history of music to get a better marks next time

practice 3 evaluation

in this third practice i just played the intro and the chord and not playing the melody. i guess the chord is not too hard but i think i have to learn more in playing the chord E7 and Bm7, because it was the most difficult chord that i have in the whole song. in school, i have practice with my singer which is raissa and also mr.John as a guitarist. In my third practice, i think i still have difficulties in chord E7 and Bm7 so i have to practice that two chords more so i will use to it and i can play it clearly.

Practice 2 evaluation

i think my second practice was not really have a changes or improvement from my first practice, because i just played the same way as practice 1. But in this practice i think i played the song better than the first practice. In this practice, i still have some mistakes, so i must practice the song more to play it clearly.

Today me and my group wrote the presentation about Swing Jazz which is the question and the answer that we have make last session. After writing the presentation every group have to performed and answer the question that we make, the question asked by the other group. My group present quite well, because i think we were well-prepared. After that we practiced I Got Rhythm song for the assessment next session which is next Tuesday.

Today we learned about notation, watching jazz music video, grouping and question making. For the grouping, my supervisor is Mr.John and my group members are Raissa, Syahbanu, Daud, and Ciayadi. And the grouping is for an assessment to performing a jazz song like we are making a band or something. The due date for this assessment is the and of april. About the notation, i think i have to learned more to make it better

practice 1 evaluation

i think my 1st practice is not really bad, but of course i have some mistakes in this practice. this is the part 1 and 2 of the song, i only practice this part because i didn't know how to play the next part, i haven't got the complete song notes. And since i just got a little time to practice with my group and Mr.John so i just make the chord to practice my self, but i am not sure that this chord is right or wrong, i think i have to make some improvisation to make the chord better, i will ask Mr.John later. But, after all i think my first practice is so so, not good and also not really bad

Today we studied about notation especially major 7th, dominant 7th and minor 7th. We learned C,G,D,A,E,F,Bb,Eb,Ab scale. I think this chord 7th is quite confusing especially for Bb,Eb,Ab scale, so i have to revise again about it at home, and i will try to memorize it. So i will not confused.

Today we have an assessment about solo performance playing 12 bars blues improvisation. i think it was the worst assessment ever, i think i should have more time to practice. if i could practice it more i think i can finished this assessment better. so, i wish i can repeat this test and be better.

Today we having an instrument assessment about all of me song. I think I have done the assessment not really good because I am not really prepared. Piano is the first instrument that assessed. After that, I watched the other student from the other instrument to perform

Today we listened to the 12 bars blues result that we have make. After that Mr.Herry remembered us to update the blog to the student that haven't update it yet. Then, like the previous week I saw the rehearsal of all of me song from the other student

Today we have practice about all of me with the three different type next week we will have an assessment, so I have to practice it more at home

Today we have done our reflection about 12 bars blues, after that I watched my friend rehearsal about all of me and also I rehearsed too in front of the class. I should practice more at home because the assessment will due on the first week of march

In the instrument class I practiced again the all of me song with left hand chord. After that Mr.Herry teached us about walking bass so, I have to practice that at home too

Today we finalized our improvisation of blues. And we also learned about c7,c major, c6. And after Mr.Herry introduced us to boogie bass song, I will learn more about the 12 bars blues to prepare for the performance.

In the instrument class I practiced all of me song again but with the left hand chord. I can play it but I have to improve it to play it clearly which is pravtice it more at home

Today we have an assessment, which is a singing assessment. During this assessment I think I have done iy quite good but, I didn't satisfy enaough with my score. I still have to improve my singing skill and also my self confidence

Today we have received the term test score and I am satisfy enough about that score. After that we sang a sway jazz song michael buble version for the rehearsal on the assessment that due next week.
